Please join us to hear Andrew Krug deliver a Tech Talk on the subject of Amazon EC2 Security, Preparing for Incidents in the Cloud, on the Fourth Tuesday of April, 4/26/16, from 12:30 - 1:30 p.m. in Stevenson Union, Room 319 (SU319). Pizza will be served, compliments of SVG.
~ Talk Abstract ~
The competition is heating up in the public cloud space as vendors regularly drop prices and offer new features. AWS is now the largest public cloud with over 10 times the capacity of the 14 other cloud providers combined. This growth has created complex architectures that can make security and incident response challenging. This talk seeks to explore the security facilities built into AWS, and demonstrate how to combine tool sets for increased visibility into your AWS accounts.
Whether you have no background in using Amazon EC2 or you live and breathe cloud architecture, consider attending this talk to get a basic overview of what can be achieved in Amazon Web Services using new services like AWS Config and Lambda to create automated security pipelines.
